Produce Changes

Hi Everyone,

We are trying something new at the store. We have moved the produce from the display coolers over to the walkin and shifted the flours over to a cooler by the meat freezer. There are a few reasons for this.

  1. We have found that the produce remains fresher and crisper by remaining in the walkin and we are striving to provide the best quality produce we possibly can.
  2. By turning off the display coolers we hope to save money and reduce are carbon footprint. They were donations to us and unfortunately they are not very efficient. I’ve done some rough calculations and if we are able to keep the display coolers off we may be able to reduce our carbon footprint by up to 20 tons of Co2 over the course of the year.
