We want to take this opportunity to thank Ralph’s Cafe for the wonderful community support they provide. In that vein they are doing their monthly tea party at Rani Howe’s with the proceeds benefiting the Marsh River Cooperative. We are very happy to be the recipients and we are looking into programs that we may be able to offer as well. We are working on a round-up program (still working on some of the accounting details) but we are looking to implement it in the next few months so that we can pass along the wonderful support!

We wanted to pass along a little bit of info regarding a federal summer lunch program being put on here in Brooks (right over at the Varney building).

It’s going to be our weekly update of the new items we have on the shelf. So far the items for the week are as follows,

La Marouette Pinot Noir (Organic)

Lucinda & Millie Cabernet Sauvignon (Organic)

Lucinda & Millie Chardonnay (Organic)

This brings our organic wine selection up to 30 Bottles.

Harpoon IPA (Customer Requested)

Divina Organic Kalamata Olives

So far Cold Brew Coffee has been a success even though it is a bit of work. At the request of several people we are also going to try Cold Brewed Tea and see how we do with it. So if you still want your caffeine fix but want something cold come on in!

And the Callebaut bulk chocolate is now out on the shelf for sale. After playing around with ways to sell it repack seems to be the way we are going to go. Weights will vary (typically between .5 – 1 lb packs) but if you need a larger portion please let us know and we can break it out for you.

Also in the produce department we have the first few batches of local tomatoes and we have fully stocked shelves including produce from Stubborn Ox Farm (Org, Brooks), Two Fox Farm(Org, Brooks), Earth Dharma(Organic, Jackson) and Calyx Farm Morrill (Sustainable). A couple new items also include King Trumpets from North Spore and Lemons(Org) from Crown of Maine. So come on in and check our selection out!
