Quiz Night: Put it on your calendar!

Hi Folks,

The next quiz night is scheduled for February 17th at 6:30pm right here at the Marsh River Coop. Come on out to get rid of those winter doldrums.

Ever been to a pub quiz ? They are popular in the UK, Canada and the Northwest. Here’s how it works: Teams are made up of 2 to 6 people, bring your partner, another couple, several friends or team up with whoever is there. Last winter we averaged 20 people and folks grouped up into teams ad-hoc.

Each round has 10 questions about a particular subject, subjects are varied: Geography, Literature, Music, Around the Farm, Waldo County, Acronyms, Art, History, Plants & Animals, Politics, Film, Measurements and sometimes just General Knowledge. No questions about Sports or TV.

We usually play 6 rounds, about an hour and a half, and the team with the most correct answers wins a prize.

Opening Mondays

Hi Everyone,

You’ve asked for it and we are finally able to deliver. Due to the generous donation of time by two of our board members the Co-op will now be open on Mondays from 2-6pm starting January 30th.  If you have any questions about the new open hours please feel free to speak to Matthew.

Survey

Hi Folks,

We are reaching out to the membership to obtain opinions for how we are currently functioning as well as to determine how best to move forward with certain items (along with some demographic questions). Please take the time out of your busy days to take the survey so that the Board and Manager can be better informed about what your opinions are. The survey will run until February 21st at which time we will close it and collate all the data. We look forward to hearing from you!
