The Marsh River Coop is pleased to announce that we have completed all the steps and have been approved for the sale of both beer and wine in the store. Over the next coming weeks we will be formulating policies and training staff/volunteers for alcohol sales (so please bear with staff/volunteers at the register). We would like to include the members and community in our decisions for what items we should carry in the store. We might not be able to accommodate everyone’s tastes but we will do our best to take every recommendation under advisement. If you have any recommendations please feel free to either e-mail marshriverordering@gmail.com or come into the store(I’ll have a sheet at the register). We look forward to your input in the coming days ahead and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us.

Andrew Beals, Technical Manager – Specialty feeds for Poulin Grain and Green Mountain Grain will be presenting at the Marsh River Coop on June 29th at 5:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.

At the park on the 4th Izzy will be coordinating volunteers to man the tent/table at the park on the 4th. We have at least one EZ up type tent and several tables for a spot at the park. We will be along the river in the shade. At least my chickens will be there for the day. Members are welcome to promote their coop related farm, craft, product or whatever they do while they are manning the coop tent. The coop will be offering memberships, possibly some items, and talking about the Coop. Contact Izzy to man the booth in the park for a slot of time.

The Coop will be open on the 4th from 9am to 12 noon. We are looking for help with the store during these hours. We will be having some form of food to sell offered on the porch. It may be snack items or it may be burgers off of a grill. We have yet to figure out the details. Either way we will be busy. We will be offering a 50/50 raffle. The parade starts at 10am.

The parade. the coop will have a float in the parade. Peter Baldwins tractor will be pulling Izzy’s trailer. We need to decorate. We have Banners coming for the front and sides of the trailer. We will have a display of animals. Ronanne will be bringing chickens for the float. Izzy will be bringing her mini horse for the float. We invite more farm animals. You can follow the float if you like. the more the merrier so bring it.

Float decorating Sunday July 3rd we will be decorating the float behind the store in the run in shed for 1pm til we are done. It will be a lot of fun so come out and bring your creativity. Bring items to decorate with as well. Submit ideas. Contact Ronanne to volunteer and submit ideas for float decorating.
