Current Volunteer Needs
Store Staff
Now that the farming season is in full swing, we especially need store staff. Store shifts are only two hours (2.5 hours for opening/closing shifts), 9:30 – 6:30 Wednesday through Saturday and 9:30 – 5:30 on Sundays. We especially need store staff for weekend shifts.
We match new volunteers with an experienced staffer for training. Working in the store is a fun, low-stress way to meet your neighbors and contribute to the local food economy in only a few hours per month! If you would like to start training to work in the store, email volunteers@marshrivercoop.org or call Becky, 207-322-7121.
Online Store Shift Signup
New for trainees and staffers – sign up for your shift online! (https://teamup.com/ks6bd2f66eadbaaeb2/)
On the calendar, find a shift that doesn’t have anybody’s name in parenthesis; that shift is still available. Click a shift you’d like to work. Volunteers who can run the store themselves, sign up as a Supervisor. If you are still in training or prefer not to be in charge, sign up as a Volunteer.
Enter your name in the “Who” field, and click “Save.” You’ll get a “recurring event options” screen; Click Single, as shown below, then save. That’s it, you’re signed up for your new shift!

If you want to drop a shift, you can erase it from the signup, but also email volunteers@marshrivercoop.org to prevent any confusion.

Photography Exhibit Opening, Sat Jan 23, 5-8 pm
Join Union-based photographer Marta Madden at the Co-op this Saturday, Jan 23, 5-8pm for the opening of her photography exhibit, “Immersion.” The exhibit features beautiful photos that “capture Italy – its color, light, texture and form through the simple images of clothing hanging out to dry.” For more about Marta and the exhibit, visit her website: http://www.martamadden.com/
